IREEN will hold the first Advisory Experts Group meeting next month (March 2012) in Madrid where experts from across a number of relevant disciplines (energy, technology, construction) will come together for a day workshop. Their contribution will include developing the collection of representative innovative use cases / scenarios, including the use & generalisation of (current and/or future) technologies applied to energy-efficiency in districts & cities. Use cases being described in terms of concept, energy efficiency impact, stakeholders, level of ICT to be integrated and/or required further R&D, and may include future trends. Questi0ns will be address following the themes of:
- how to create the critical mass to achieve significant impacts – and contribute towards the vision that is to be developed in IREEN?
- how to capture the industry needs / priorities?
- how can IREEN be useful to the Commission in its preparation for HORIZON 2020?
- how to assure industry involvement, support and commitment?
